I had the honor of photographing Kristen and Eric’s wedding at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn last week. I have been there a few times and I just love the country feeling you get when you get there. Kristen as you can see from some of the images I posted did indeed make a beautiful bride and Eric a handsome groom. A great looking couple. Eric as you can see is a Marine, a corporal to be exact. Kristen had the responsibility of making all the wedding arrangements as well as decisions on her own while Eric was deployed in Afghanistan. The most important thing is that he came back to us along with his group safe and sound.
We had a ceremony scheduled for 5:30 and at about 4:00 in middle of photographing some portraits, the skies just opened up. Kristen dream wedding was at the gazebo at the Inn which overlooks the valley. Not to fear. The rain stopped at 5:00 and after the Inn setting up for an indoor ceremony, they called the wedding for outdoors at the Gazebo. Believe it or not, it was so hot out that the ground dried out within 10 minutes, yes some muddy areas but we were able to avoid them. Kristen had her outdoor ceremony and it was beautiful, just looking over the valley during the ceremony was breath taking. At the end of the ceremony, they had a butterfly release, which actually worked out really well.
All in all it was a beautiful day. I enjoyed my drive to Stroudsburg, and loved to photograph something a little different and exciting. Watch the slide show is coming.
